Aftercare Drop-ins

Our Aftercare teams are based in 30 Network locations across Ireland. You can find your local Aftercare drop-in by selecting a county below, or by using our Find My Network app, where you can enter an address or drop a pin on the map. 

Tusla aftercare support services offer an aftercare drop-in service to all care experienced Young People and Young Adults who can avail of for advice or guidance. There is no upper age limit on the service.  Foster carers can also avail of a signposting service and advice from Drop in services.  The times and venues and arrangements of these services may vary slightly nationally, with some providing a service in the evening’s others during daytime hours.

Key Features:

• A regular and consistent block of time available where anyone with a history of care can meet a representative from the aftercare team.
• It is available to foster carers, residential care staff and any other professionals or key stakeholders engaged with a person with experience of care.
• The aftercare drop-in service will provide a forum where specific queries related to aftercare provision in the local area can be clarified or answered.
• This service has no age limitations and those with a care history can avail of this service at any age.•  
• It provides a point of contact for young people. 
• Can provide assistance and/ or signposting for;
  • Provision of supporting documentation for applications for training allowances, grants, housing, social welfare.
  • Advocacy - support for young people who require a referral to other services.
  • A guidance and support service.
  • Provision of advice on entitlements such as housing, social welfare benefits.
  • Support to complete forms such as grant applications, job applications.
  • Provide advice or guidance to carers and other support services engaging with young adults/adults who have experience of care.
