Lobbying Act 2015
From the 1 January 2025 under the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 (Designated Public Officials) Regulations 2024 (S.I. No. 424/2024) 62 public bodies will be classified as containing public service positions which are to be considered as Designated Public Officials (“DPO”) for the purposes of section 6(1)(f) of the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 (No. 5 of 2015).
Tusla Designated Public Officials:
- Chief Executive - Kate Duggan. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tusla is responsible for all of the executive functions associated with the management and leadership of the agency.
The CEO is responsible for leading Tusla’s Executive Management Team and reports directly to the Board of Tusla, who are Tusla’s governing body and are in turn accountable to the Minister of Children Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. The Chief Executive Officer is also accountable to the Committee of Public Accounts and other Oireachtas committees under Sections 33 and 34 of the Child and Family Agency Act 2013.
- Chair of the Tusla Board - Pat Rabbitte. The Chairperson is responsible for leadership of the Board and ensuring its effectiveness as the governing body of the Agency, with authority to perform the functions of the Agency as outlined in the Child and Family Agency Act 2013.
