Who we are
Tusla is the independent statutory regulator of early years services in Ireland. Tusla early years inspectorate promote and monitor the safety and quality of care and support of children in Tusla registered early years services in accordance with the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016.

The Department of Education also undertakes inspections of early years services in Ireland. These inspections are focused on the quality of the nature, range and appropriateness of the early educational experiences for children.
