Child & Youth Participation

It is the responsibility of Tusla, Child and Family Agency to engage with children, young people, families and communities on the design and quality of services provided to them.

Our aim is to ensure that every time a decision is taken that directly affects you, that your views are taken into consideration in the decision making process (Child and Youth Participation Strategy 2019-2022).

Your participation is fundamental to a child-centred, rights-based approach to working with children and young people. It is a policy that is agreed at a national level and is a key point of the standards of practice in the protection and welfare of children and young people.

We at Tusla, are committed to further developing our practice of participation at all levels in the organisation.
