Ambitious Corporate Plan for 2018 – 2020 Launched by Tusla
28th March 2018 - Tusla – Child and Family Agency today publishes its new Corporate Plan 2018 – 2020, and Business Plan for 2018 which will set out the key priorities for the Agency over the next three years, alongside a renewed vision and mission which will guide the Agency as it engages with children, families and communities. The significant work programme outlined in this plan is based on reducing preventable risks to children.
11 new Family Resource Centres revealed as funding increases by 21%
12 March 2018. The number of Family Resource Centres in Ireland is set to grow from 109 to 120, with the addition of 11 new centres this year. Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Dr Katherine Zappone, and Tusla’s Chief Operations Officer, Jim Gibson, today announced the locations of 11 new centres during a visit to the Hill Street Family Resource Centre in Dublin’s north inner city.

Tusla launches new Child Safeguarding Statement
12 February 2018. Tusla – Child and Family Agency today launched its Child Safeguarding Statement, a new requirement for organisations working with children and families under the Children First Act 2015 which was commenced by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Dr Katherine Zappone, in December. The Statement sets out how Tusla protects children who engage with its services and it will be displayed publicly in every Tusla building and office around the country for children, families and members of the public.
43 organisations apply to become Family Resource Centres
29 January 2018. 43 organisations in 19 counties have applied to be recognised as Family Resource Centres as part of Tusla – Child and Family Agency’s Family Resource Centre Programme. There are currently 109 Family Resource Centres around the country, offering a range of services and supports to local communities.
Tusla acknowledges the publication today of the HIQA inspection report in the Midlands.
17th January 2018 - Tusla – Child and Family Agency acknowledges the publication today of the HIQA inspection report in relation to fostering services in the Midlands. The inspection report highlights that the area has made significant improvements with regard to child in care reviews, care planning and reviews of foster carers, in particular, since the previous inspection in 2016.

Tusla – Child and Family Agency publishes Early Years Inspectorate Annual Report 2016
14th December 2017 - Tusla - Child and Family Agency today publishes the Annual Report 2016 of its Early Years Inspectorate. The Inspectorate carried out 2,008 inspections of Early Years Services in 2016, of which 36 were new services seeking to register under the 2016 Regulations. An analysis of 288 inspection reports shows that 78% of regulations were found to be compliant while 22% were deemed non-compliant, showing a clear improvement from 2015 compliance levels (6%).
