What supports does the School Completion Programme provide?

The School Completion Programme provides a broad range of programmes and supports to enable children and young people to attend school and to actively engage in their education.  Each SCP project provides a range of supports and programmes to meet the identified local needs.  Supports and programmes which may be provided include:

  1. Universal programmes which ideally are evidence based/evidence informed;
    • Roots of Empathy
    • Breakfast Club
  2. Brief interventions (for 8 weeks or less) to meet immediate short term need; such as

    • One to one mentoring
    • Pro Social Skills group
  3. Targeted interventions to those who through the SCP Intake Framework as requiring ongoing support.

    • Mentoring for Achievement/Check & Connect
    • Holiday supports

Interventions should be available around the school day, during schools holidays and for those not in school to enable their reengagement.
