Tusla Statement on Early Years’ Services
Thursday, 1st August 2019: Tusla welcomed the opportunity at Joint Oireachtas Committee  yesterday to outline Tusla’s specific role as regulator of the early years’ sector, and of the important role both professionals, and all members of society, have in reporting concerns about  harm or potential harm (child protection concerns) about children to Tusla’s child protection services.

The National Review Panel Publishes its Annual Report for 2018
Thursday, 4th July 2019: The National Review Panel (NRP), Chaired by Dr Helen Buckley today publishes its Annual Report for 2018. A total of 13 deaths of children and young people in care or known to the child protection system were notified in 2018. This figure represents a decrease of nine from 2017.

Tusla Statement on the Publication of an NRP Report Relating to a Case in Galway
Tuesday, 28th May: Tusla recognises that the formal publication of the National Review Panel (NRP) report in relation to a case in Galway (2003 – 2011) has been agreed following consultation with the young people involved and is cognisant of the very sensitive nature of the report. Despite aspects of this report being leaked and put into the public domain last week, Tusla deemed it would be inappropriate to make a full statement until the full summary report was published today.
