What supports does the School Completion Programme provide?
The School Completion Programme provides a broad range of programmes and supports to enable children and young people to attend school and to actively engage in their education. Each SCP project provides a range of supports and programmes to meet the identified local needs. Supports and programmes which may be provided include:
- Universal programmes which ideally are evidence based/evidence informed;
- Roots of Empathy
- Breakfast Club
Brief interventions (for 8 weeks or less) to meet immediate short term need; such as
- One to one mentoring
- Pro Social Skills group
Targeted interventions to those who through the SCP Intake Framework as requiring ongoing support.
- Mentoring for Achievement/Check & Connect
- Holiday supports
Interventions should be available around the school day, during schools holidays and for those not in school to enable their reengagement.
