Tusla Board nominates Kate Duggan as Interim CEO to replace Bernard Gloster

Following the appointment of Bernard Gloster as CEO of the HSE, the Board of Tusla met this morning 6th January and agreed to nominate Kate Duggan, the current Deputy CEO as Interim CEO (Designate).

Chair of the Board Mr. Pat Rabbitte said “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Bernard Gloster for his immense contribution to the work of the Agency and to invite all stakeholders and staff to give their full support to Kate as Interim CEO”.

Bio

Kate Duggan is a Clinical Speech and Language Therapist by profession and is also a former manager of that discipline. She joined the Child and Family Agency in August 2020 as National Director of Service and Integration where she has also been Deputy CEO to Bernard Gloster. In addition to her clinical work, she has also held senior HSE role in both Quality/Patient Safety and Primary Care Management in the Mid-West. Trained to master’s degree in management. She has two decades of experience in Health and Personal Social Services.
