First female CEO appointed at Tusla
Thursday, 21st September 2023: At its Board meeting today, the Board of Tusla – the Child and Family Agency appointed Ms. Kate Duggan as Chief Executive.
The National Review Panel publishes its 2022 Annual Report
Wednesday 26th July 2023: The National Review Panel (NRP), chaired by Dr Helen Buckley, has today published its Annual Report for 2022. The Annual Report shows that a total of 23 deaths of children and young people in care of or known to child and family services were notified in 2022, representing a decrease of four compared with 2021.

Wednesday, 19th July 2023: Tusla – Child and Family Agency has today published its Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2022, detailing the service activities and progress made by the Agency in its ninth year of operation, a year that saw almost 83,000 referrals to its Child Protection and Welfare Service alone.

Thursday, 1st June 2023: Tulsa’s Early Years Inspectorate has today published a guidance document, designed specifically for those Early Years Services (both pre-school and School Age) operating fully or mostly outdoors. ‘When the Roof is the Sky: Guidance for the registration and inspection of early years services operating outdoors’ was officially launched by Minister Roderic O’Gorman at the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth’s garden, ‘First 5 Garden of Wonder and Discovery’ at Bord Bia Bloom in the Phoenix Park.
