Tusla Update on Services during COVID-19 Pandemic

Tusla – Child and Family Agency continues to provide key services during new restrictions announced by the Government in line with the Plan for Living with Covid-19.

As an essential front line service, Tusla will continue to provide services across core areas that support children and families at risk including:

  • Child protection
  • Children in care;
  • Domestic, sexual and gender based violence services, in conjunction with our partners and funded agencies.

Home visits to children, and access visits for children in care, are considered essential and continue as normal where possible.

Speaking about the new restrictions, Bernard Gloster, CEO, Tusla, said “As we move into a new phase of dealing with Covid 19, we would like to remind everyone that Tusla’s child protection and welfare teams are still here, and are still working to keep children as safe as possible in every community around the country.

Now, more than ever, it is important that we all continue to work together to keep children as safe as possible. If you do have a concern about a child, you can contact the local duty social work office where the child lives. Details are available on our website, www.tusla.ie”
