First female CEO appointed at Tusla
At its Board meeting today, the Board of Tusla – Child and Family Agency appointed Ms. Kate Duggan as Chief Executive.
Kate Duggan joined Tusla as National Director of Services & Integration and Deputy CEO three years ago and has been Interim Chief Executive since Bernard Gloster was appointed Chief Executive of the HSE.
“Tusla, established in 2014 is in the middle of a fundamental Reform Programme which has been led by Kate Duggan”, the Chairperson of the Tusla Board Mr. Pat Rabbitte said today.
“Her unanimous appointment by the Board is evident of our confidence in the calibre of leadership that she would provide at a challenging juncture for the Agency. The demand for our services continues to increase in terms of complexity and volume as does the global movement of people at a time when we are experiencing accommodation and staffing shortages”, Mr. Pat Rabbitte said.
“The Board is delighted to now have the first woman Chief Executive since the Agency was established and we look forward to working with her to make consistent improvements in the services we deliver to children and families” Pat Rabbitte concluded.
