Tusla Health and Wellbeing Service
Tusla Health, Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programme is a national service that is available free of charge to all employees of Tusla. The service provides a range of staff supports that are free and confidential, including counselling, staff wellbeing workshops, and a suite of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services. It also serves as a consultancy to managers on staff wellbeing issues.
The Health and Wellbeing department provide the following services internally:
- Consultancy to managers on staff wellbeing issues and public health advice.
- Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM); individual and group staff support following a critical incident & other CISM supports.
- Pre-Incident Critical Incident Stress Management training for staff, managers, and teams.
- General and group EAP staff support; linkage with other appropriate support services.
- Staff wellbeing workshops.
- Wellbeing educational advice.
- Occupational health advice, referrals and support following reports.
- Ergonomic assessments.
- Health Screening.
- Health promotion.
- Rehabilitation reviews (policy online).
- Advice on equality, diversity, and inclusion; implementation of disability toolkit and policies.
- Advice for managers on how to implement Reasonable accommodations.
- Retirement workshops.
- Policy review and collaboration with health and safety.
