A Loving Foster Home Needed for Fergal* – A Joyful 3-Year-Old Ready to Blossom

Tusla is seeking kind and dedicated foster carers to provide a safe, nurturing, and stable home for Fergal, a cheerful and resilient three-year-old boy who brings light and laughter to those around him.

Since entering care, Fergal has made remarkable progress. He is now using more words, singing nursery rhymes, and engaging warmly with familiar adults. His love of learning is evident in his fascination with alphabet puzzles, and he delights in outdoor play. His natural curiosity and joyful spirit are truly infectious.

Fergal thrives best in a calm, predictable environment. He enjoys cuddles, tickles, music, and is currently settling well into creche, where he is beginning to build new relationships and explore group activities. Like many young children, he can become unsettled during transitions—especially when it's time to come inside—but he quickly finds comfort in familiar items such as his bottle, dummy, and blanket.

While Fergal manages asthma with daily medication, he remains a happy, affectionate, and energetic child. What he needs most is a loving foster home where he can continue to grow, learn, and feel secure.

To support this important placement, an enhanced fostering allowance is available, along with a tailored therapeutic support package. This includes access to therapeutic parenting training, trauma-informed workshops, and additional supports designed to help Fergal thrive in a stable and loving environment.
