Charlie* is a bright and bubbly 6-year-old boy living in the Sligo/Leitrim area. He has lots of energy and is affectionate and caring. He loves spending time with people one to one and enjoys the company of other children. Charlie enjoys playing outside, imaginative play and has a particular interest in toy vehicles. Charlie also enjoys going to the play park, shopping and going for walks.

Despite a difficult start in life Charlie has made great progress in recent years and is a very pleasant and happy child. He is a pleasure to be around and is well liked at school and by everyone who meets him. Charlie has some additional needs and requires extra support and supervision at times. He is exceptionally bright and has found lots of ways to communicate his needs to the people taking care of him. With the right supports Charlie is learning new skills and words all the time. Charlie thrives on routine and enjoys the daily rituals of bedtime, bathtime and attending school. He has a very happy disposition, always smiling and enjoys a joke and a giggle. 

Charlie would do well with a foster carer who could provide a loving home and show him lots of affection and patience while he continues to develop at this own pace. Ideally Charlie needs a carer within an hour’s drive of the Mayo/Sligo/Leitrim/Roscommon area.
