A bright explorer ready for a loving foster homeCali is a 6-year-old little boy full of energy, curiosity, and smiles, who requires a foster family in the west of the country. Cali loves discovering new things, especially anything with wheels or buttons, and he has a big heart for helping others. Cali lights up around cars, machinery, and anything he can “fix” or explore. He also loves the outdoors and going to his swimming lessons. Cali is in Junior Infants in school and attends an Autism class. He communicates in his own creative ways - using gestures, an AAC device, pointing, and facial expressions. Cali is clever and quick to learn and thrives when people around him celebrate his ideas and give him space to express himself. He also has a play therapist to help him explore his feelings and make him feel safe and understood. Cali enjoys sensory fun, which keeps him calm and focused, like swinging or jumping on a mini trampoline. He adores arts and crafts - cutting, sticking with cellotape, decorating, and creating his own masterpieces. These things feed his imagination and help him to relax. Cali likes to have a predictable routine to look forward to. Cali needs a foster family where he can share his adventures, routines, and cuddles every day. He would love a warm and understanding home, where he can be himself, ideally with a family who loves routines but is flexible, enjoys outdoor adventures and creative play, and has experience or openness to supporting autism.
