Miriam Denn is currently working as a lecturer on the BA in Applied Social Studies, and as Course Leader on the Masters in Leadership and Therapeutic Child and Social Care programme in St, Patricks College, Carlow. Miriam also does clinical work with NEPS and the primary schools in the Carlow/Laois area, working as a Child and Adolescent psychotherapist. She is also a registered clinical supervisor with ICP and supervises MSC students on the Masters programme in Child and Adolescent psychoanalytic Studies in Trinity College.

Neuroscience and Social Care: An Overview of the Importance of Brain Body Connection in Trauma Informed Practice with Children in Care - Michelle Maher
Michelle Maher is the Clinical Support Person for Pathways Ireland. Michelle recognizes the need for the Irish care system to consider trauma informed practice and to develop therapeutic programs to support staff working with children and young people with complex behaviours. Michelle holds a MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy and is a supervisor. She is also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a model of therapy that blends the concepts of neurobiology, somatic presentations and implicit memory to heal the effects of trauma. Michelle has worked with young people for over 30 years in the youth sector, in residential care and as a psychotherapist.
