Early Years (Pre School) Inspectorate
Early Years is an overarching term that includes Pre-School Services. The Child and Family Agency is responsible for inspecting pre-schools, play groups, nurserys, crèches, day-care and similar services which cater for children aged 0-6, under the Child Care (Pre-School Services) Regulations 2006. 06/05/16 - 2016 Regulations
The 2016 Regulations were published on the 4th of May 2016 by the Minister O Reilly, the Minister for Children & Youth Affairs. To assist providers understanding of the new revised regulations Tusla are undertaking briefing on the new regulations throughout the country the last week of May and the 1st week in June. 05/05/16 - New Child Care Regulations Published
The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, published the Child Care Regulations (the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016)on the 4th May 2016. These Regulations will come into effect on a phased basis from 30th June 2016. The new Regulations provide for pre-school services, that is, those services catering for children under the age of 6 who are not attending primary school. Click here for details.
04/05/16 - The National Garda vetting Bureau Act 2012
The National Garda vetting Bureau Act 2012 is enacted from the end of April 2015. The Act introduces a number of changes to Garda Vetting procedures which will have an impact for persons making application to the Garda vetting Bureau.
