SCP Guidelines towards Good Practice
Local projects were surveyed to ascertain the interventions they considered to be good practice in supporting young people at risk of early school leaving. The report documents key elements of good practice within a number of interventions, exemplars of local good practice within SCP and exemplars of good practice internationally.
The Core Elements of the School Completion Programme
Local projects were consulted through local review meetings on what they considered to be the most effective interventions to retain young people at risk of early school leaving in school. The projects identified 16 core elements of the School Completion Programme, which closely align to international research evidence of what works to support young people at risk.

The guidelines provide a background, rationale and exemplars of good practice for keeping records of young people identified for support including the use of referrals forms, methods for tracking information on interventions and weekly case meetings.
SCP Guidelines to assist projects in the development of project aims, objectives and targets
The guidelines outlines best practice approaches for developing project aims, objectives and targets. The guidelines provide direction to projects for implementing data collection systems in order to set and monitor local targets.
