  Who can apply 

Applicants must by the closing date of application must be graduates with a disability as defined in the Disability Act 2005, i.e. “a substantial restriction in the capacity of the person to carry on a profession, business or occupation in the State or to participate in social or cultural life in the State by reason of an enduring physical, sensory, mental health or intellectual impairment”, and have the following:


Have graduated with at least a second class honour / merit in a degree (Level 7 or higher) on the National Framework of Qualifications in 2021 or 2022.


Expect to graduate or to have received final year results with at least a second class honour/ merit in a degree (Level 7 or higher) on the National Framework of Qualifications by December 2022.


Possess the requisite knowledge for the proper discharge of the office - see job specification

When will interviews take place?


Immediately - You will receive at least one weeks' notice of your interview time and date.



When should I expect to commence employment if I am successful at interview?


The hiring process (onboarding and pre recruitment checks) will be managed efficiently by dedicated Tusla Recruit Graduate team however, we will need your commitment and support to achieve these quick timelines. We would encourage students to get ahead of this and organise the documents required so they are ready to go once a post has been formally accepted.



Do I need to be available immediately to start in a job once formally offered?


Yes, these posts must be filled urgently.



Can you tell me more about the recruitment process?



This will consist of a competency based interview that will take place after you have submitted your application. Once you pass your competency based interview you will then receive an order of merit which is based on your results from interview.


You will be liaising with the Tusla Recruit team and they will create a file for you with all of your paperwork. This will include – 3 references, occupational health assessment, Garda Vetting checks, birth cert, copy of your qualifications, visa and police clearance if necessary.


Once all clearances from the onboarding stage have been completed and approved we will then agree your start date and issue you with a contract outlining your terms of employment with Tusla Child and Family Agency.



Are there jobs available all over Ireland?


No, all of these jobs are based in Tusla Corporate Offices, Brunel Building, Heuston South Quarter, Dublin 8



Are the jobs available only 12month contracts?


Yes, they are 12month contracts with the possibility of permanency.



Can I apply for more than one department on my application?
